Beat the Winter Blues

Here are a couple of great tips to keep your skin healthy and glowing during the winter months:

 

  • Use gentler products. It is important to note that during winter our skin is exposed to not only the cold weather, but also the drying effects of heaters and air conditioners.

 

Also our eating habits change during winter (I tend to eat more!). The constant changes in temperature and diet causes our skin to be more sensitive than usual.

 

 

Starting the day with a gentle exfoliator to slough off any excess dead skin cells, followed by a hydrating toner and face moisturiser will keep your skin hydrated and pH balanced throughout the day.

 

We recommend using our Walnut Face Exfoliator followed by one of our floral Waters as a toner. Then follow with our Day Créme- a face moisturiser for optimum hydration.

 

For a more brighter complexion, try a drop of our Elixir of youth Serum!

 

  • Be mindful of hot showers/baths. During the winter months, taking hot showers and baths can really dehydrate the skin. If your skin is not properly moisturised, cracks in the surface of the skin can appear. This can cause premature aging as well as other problems.                                                                                                                                       

    We recommend 10 to 20 drops of our DESIRE essential oil blend to a drawn bath or in the shower. This versatile blend will keep your skin nourished during your bath/shower. Once your skin is dry, using one of our Hand & Body Crème (my favourite!) will keep your skin hydrated, smooth and nourished.
